iglidur® J350 material for the rail industry
Certifiability according to fire standard EN45545 Hazard level 3
Our J350 nuts are now certifiable according to the EN45545 Hazard Level 3 fire standard. This means we can offer a wide range of dimensions especially for use in rail vehicles. They are tested according to requirement set R24, for components up to 500 grams.
Our threaded nuts made of the high-performance polymer iglidur® J350 enable the application at permanent medium to high ambient temperatures. The permanent application temperature should at best be in the temperature range of +60 to + 150°C, in order to be able to retrieve the maximum performance from the material. This material offers a good coefficient of friction at medium loads and the permissible permanent surface pressure in the threads of the threaded nuts is 0 - 3.0 MPa for this material.
